Functionalities:
There are several functionalities that will be able to be performed through the
new IQ web function.
• Ability to receive estimated Pricing for a quote based on class codes and
exposure.
• Ability to receive an on-line quote if the class code(s) selected are eligible for
Internet Quoting.
• Ability to submit an application via the Internet if it does not qualify for
Internet Quoting.
• Ability to save and edit an application prior to submitting.
• Ability to revise an online quote to obtain several versions of the information
submitted.
• Ability to print an application, quote and DPGA (Deposit Premium Guarantee
Agreement).
• Ability to submit an online DPGA for all quotes sent to Texas Mutual .

Security:
You must have access to Comp Now in order to be granted security to
Internet Quote.
Screens and Edits:
Once you log in to IQ, view the Quote Main Page. This page will displayed
all your saved applications, quotes submitted on-line, submissions
submitted via the Internet and all quote versions for an individual quote.
This Page also displays the links for Pricing, Quoting New Business,
Revising a Quote, About IQ Information Page, Printing a Quote, Editing
an Application and viewing the information by quote, application or
submission status. All quotes submitted to Texas Mutual Ins. Co. will be
able to be viewed on the Quote Main Page whether they were submitted
via the Internet, mail, e-mail or fax.

Pricing Indicator:
•This feature can be used to obtain a pricing estimate utilizing all class codes
and exposure.
•The class code can be manually entered then clicking on the “add” link or by
using the Class code Browser.
•An “*” may be noted next to some class codes. The “*” denotes those class
codes that are eligible for IQ. If any of the class codes selected are not
eligible for IQ, the link to submit an online quote will not be displayed.
•Enter all monetary values without commas or decimals, for example, $15000.00
should be entered as 15000.
Note: “A” Rated class codes cannot be used for pricing.

Class Code Browser:
The Class Code Browser allows for the selection of a class code by several
different methods.
•Search by keyword
•Search by class code
•View all class codes
•View class codes by numerical range
A class code can be selected by clicking on the box next to the class code.
Once the red check appears, click on the “Add Class” link at the bottom of the
page.
The subclasses can also be selected by placing your cursor in the ‘Subclass’
field next to the class code you would like to browse. The word ‘browse’ will
appear and you can click on ‘browse’ to view and select a subclass for the
selected class code. Selecting a subclass is not necessary for pricing; however,
it is necessary for online quoting.
Only one class code can be selected at a time.

Qualifying Questions Page:
All questions must be answered by either clicking on the “Yes” or “No” indicator. If
any of the answers disqualify an applicant from online quoting, the application can still
be submitted via the Internet for consideration of a manual quote by an underwriter.
Press ‘continue’ to proceed to the review qualifying questions page.
Review Qualifying Questions Page:
This page allows for the review and editing of the answers selected for each
qualifying question. The qualifying questions can only be revised one time for a single
application.

Application Main Form:
All Pertinent applicant information must be filled out.
 A valid SIC code must be entered. Note: The SIC code can be selected by using the
search SIC Code functionality or inputted directly if the SIC code is know. (See SIC Code
section.)
 If entity is a sole proprietorship or partnership, please input the social security number in
the FEIN field.
 The entity type can be selected using the drop down box.
 If the application has an NCCI ID, it must be a 9-digit number. The Emod effective and
published dates must be entered. The date should be in an MM/DD/YYY format and the
year of the Emod must be prior to 2003.
 The increased limits can be increased or decreased by clicking on ‘increase’ or ‘decrease.’
 A description of operations must be entered. Please limit the description to 300
characters or less. If additional space is needed, the “Additional Comments” section may
be utilized.
 Applicant Contact Information must be entered. Valid e-mail addresses must contain the
“@” character.
 All required information must be entered.
 If address includes, an “c/o” line, please enter this information in the dba field.
Press ‘continue’ to proceed with the application. Any section of the application can be
selected by clicking on the navigation bar at the top of the page. At any time the
application can be saved by clicking on the “Save Application” link at the bottom of the
page.

SIC Code Selection:
The SIC code can be selected by multiple methods:
•Search by keyword
•Browse by SIC code range
•Entering the SIC if known
If selecting the SIC code, click on the box next to the SIC code to select it,
then press the “Set Code” link on the bottom of the page.

Locations Page:
There should be an input for each applicant location. Any locations that are added
should be located in Texas. If the location entered on the ‘Required Information’
Page is a Texas location, the link ‘Add Mailing Address as Location 1’ should be
displayed and can be utilized to add the mailing address as the first location. A 5 or
9 digit zip code must be entered.
After entering the location information, please click on ‘Add’ to add a location.
Press ‘continue’ to proceed with the application. Any section of the application can
be selected by clicking on the navigation bar at the top of the page. At any time the
application can be saved by clicking on the “Save Application” link at the bottom of
the page.

Applicant Exposure Page:






Please add each class code for the applicant’s business. Each class code must also
have a subclass for a description.
If class code and subclass are known, they can be entered. If class code is not known,
the class code browser can be used for assistance in locating the correct class code
for the applicant. (Please see the section on Class Code Browser.)
The subclasses can also be browsed by clicking on ‘browse’ in the Subclass field. All
subclasses eligible for IQ will be displayed. Click on the box next to the class code to
add the class code and subclass.
A class code can be added on an ’if any’ basis. Up to 3 ‘if any’ classes can be added.
If remuneration is entered for a class code, the number of employees must also be
added.
Enter all monetary values without commas or decimals, for example, $15000.00 should
be entered as 15000.

Applicant Officer’s Page:


Please enter all pertinent information for each officer added including:
name, date of birth in MM/DD/YYYY format, % ownership (0%-100%),
duties, title, class code and remuneration (payroll).
Please include the officer’s remuneration in the total remuneration if
they are included.

Please indicate whether the officer is to be included or excluded.

Click on ‘add’ to add the officer information.

Enter all monetary values without commas or decimals, for example,
$15000.00 should be entered as 15000.

Prior Coverage Page:





At least 2 years of immediate and continuous Prior Coverage must be
added if an internet quote is to be received.
If the carrier is unknown, please click on link “Carrier Not Known.”
When adding multiple prior coverage information, one may select the
same carrier that was initially input.
After entering the Prior Coverage and Loss Information click on
“Update.”
Enter all monetary values without commas or decimals, for example,
$15000.00 should be entered as 15000.

Application Verification:
Carefully read the application verification information and click on either
“I agree” or “I disagree.” If “I agree” is selected, the application will
be submitted for consideration. If “I disagree” is selected, you will be
returned to the Review Application page.

Deposit Premium Guarantee Agreement




(DPGA)
This feature allows the electronic submission of a DPGA for all quotes. If multiple
quote versions exist, only one DPGA can be submitted and should be submitted on
the quote version one would like to bind.
A DPGA can be submitted by either clicking on “Submit a DPGA” from the ‘Quote
Main’ page or by clicking on “Submit DPGA” at the bottom of the ‘Quote Review”
page.
The DPGA must be submitted electronically one day prior to the proposed effective
date of the policy (i.e. the effective date cannot be any sooner than tomorrow’s
date).
The actual Deposit Premium must arrive no later than 10 days after the proposed
effective date of the policy.
DGPA Confirmation:
•
Once the DPGA has been submitted, a confirmation message will be displayed.
•
A printable copy of the DPGA can be printed by clicking on the “Print Your
DPGA” link. It is recommended to keep a copy of the DPGA.

Submitting an Application:
Once ‘Submit Application’ has been pressed, the application will be submitted for
processing. A message window will be displayed while the application is being
processed.
Once your application has been processed and a quote is being created, the
following message will be displayed:
Online Quote Review Page:
• If a quote is returned and no errors occurred during the application
processing, an online quote will be displayed. The quote will display the
premium for the quote and all pertinent information.
• A printable copy is available by clicking on ‘Print Quote.’ Please keep a copy
of the quote for your records.
• A new version of the quote can be created by clicking on ‘Re-Quote’ at the
bottom of the page.
• A DPGA (Deposit Premium Guarantee Agreement) can be submitted for the
online quote by clicking on ‘Submit DPGA for this Quote.’

Edit Application:



Any saved application can be edited for changes either by clicking on ‘Edit Application’
from the Quote Main page or by clicking on ‘Edit Application’ at the bottom of the
Application Review page.
All Saved Applications can be sorted by clicking on ‘Saved Applications’ under the View
by Status section of the Quote Main page.
If applications are sorted by clicking on ‘Saved Applications’ under the View by Status
section of the Quote Main page, the links ‘Revise a Quote’ and ‘Submit an Online DPGA’
are disabled.
Revise a Quote:
• This features allows for the creation of multiple versions of a quote.
• All Quotes can be sorted b clicking on ‘Quotes’ under the View by Status section of the
Quote Main page. The ‘Edit Application’ link is disabled if the quotes are sorted by
status.
• A new version of the quote can also be created by clicking on the ‘Re-Quote’ link at the
bottom of the Quote Review page.
Review and Print:
• This feature allows for the printing and reviewing of information for either a saved
application or an online quote. A submission cannot be reviewed or printed.
• Printing of a quote or application can also be done by clicking on the “Print” link at
the bottom of their respective Review pages.
