        Application fee - $1,017.00.

USMLE exam transcripts - $70 Self-query - $5 Fingerprinting - $41.45 JP exam - $61 Initial registration of 24 months - $856.00

DPS registration - $25 DEA registration - $731 (3 yrs)  Total $2806.45

Step by step guide

    1 – Start online application https://applications.tmb.state.tx.us/PH/identificatio n1.aspx

Fill out personal info, training/work history & create account Pay $1070 application fee. Your info is deleted after 14 days if you do not pay the fee to proceed.

 2 – TMB creates Licensure Inquiry System of Texas (LIST) account for you. This is an online portal that shows the status of your application and materials and where you receive messages from TMB.  At your leisure, and in any order, start fulfilling the requirements in your LIST account. Your account is updated as TMB receives these items via snail mail.

    Fingerprinting http://www.tmb.state.tx.us/page/get-fingerprints Make an online appointment, get your fingerprints done. Takes 15 minutes. Location is near Metrocare River Bend $41.45

   JP exam – you will receive an exam permit in your LIST inbox with instructions. Go to http://www.pearsonvue.com/texasmedicalboard/ Pay $61  Pay $200 for courses, or use the FREE (albeit disorganized) materials posted on DFWpsych website. (DFWpsych -> private)

  Only after all items on LIST are received by TMB does your application get assigned an analyst and reviewed. If anything is unsatisfactory your licensing analyst will post requests for additional items in the Lacking Reasons section.

 Average time per TMB – 136 days for pre-licensure (completing all LIST tasks); 36 days for licensing once analyst is assigned
