Why LabVIEW?
• LabVIEW is a program development application, much like
C or FORTRAN.
•Other programming systems use text-based languages to
create lines of code, while LabVIEW uses a graphical
programming language, G, to create programs in block
diagram form.
•LabVIEW includes libraries for data acquisition, data
analysis, data presentation, and data storage.
•A LabVIEW program is called a virtual instrument (VI)
because it’s appearance and operation can imitate an actual
instrument.
