Highest Ranking among all the schools of North Delhi (as per C-fore survey conducted by HT).
Placed at 21st rank among 342 best day schools of India by Education World.
Bal Bharati Public School, Pitampura is a premier institution of the Child Education Society which
started as a family of 150 students and 6 members of staff in July 1984.
Principals- Sh. S. C. Baveja(1984-2009), Ms. Meenu Goswami (2009 onwards)
Present Status- Teaching staff-209; Number of students- 5215
Spread over 8 acres.
The present accomplishment of the school is attributed to the vision of Shri K.K. Khullar, President
Child Education Society, that was transformed into a reality under the able leadership of Shri L. R.
Channa, Vice President CES, Chairman BBPS,PP and Shri S.K. Bhattacharya, Secretary BBPS PP.

Bal Bharati is proud today to be one of the top leading school of the country, with focus on holistic all round
development of each child..
Academics has always been the strength of BBPS, Pitampura as proved by the outstanding results over the years. This year of the 310
students were appeared for the CBSE class-XII board exam 306 students got a high first division.
The school had 100% result and over 100 students got a score of 90% and above. The average achievement was 83.92%.
The school has a strong debating team that has won many laurels.
The school also has to its credit an orchestra of 100 plus students.
The classical dance troupe of our school won the first prize at the International Dance Festival, they also performed for Doordharshan in
2012.
The students of BBPS, Pitampura have shown outstanding performance in field of sports at the National level in basketball, netball,
swimming, skating, table tennis and athletics. They have also won accolades at International level in swimming and skating.
Vinayak Parihar has broken the Delhi State record in swimming 2012 - 200m butterfly stroke.
The school has a highly enriched International exchange programme. The school was awarded the ISA Award by the British Council for the
third consecutive year in 2012.
Aneesh Sawhney and Saundarya Singh of class-XII had been selected to visit Japan to participate in the JENESYS programme in May, 2012.
Ms. Rashmi Ashtikar, a member of the English Department was selected for the Fulbright Scholarship/teacher exchange. She visited US for
six months and Ms. Mary Stanton from US took her duties at B.B.P.S. Pitampura.
The school has a strong Space, Astronomy and Robotics programme. A group of 6 students went to Shanghai for Venus Transit.
Values, tradition and ethics are instilled in the students right from the beginning whereas honesty and hard work have been keys to the
success of this iconic institution so far.
Under a strong Space, Astronomy and Robotics programme, VAIBHAV SAPRA and SHARANJEET SINGH discovered a MAIN BELT ASTEROID,
“2011QM14”, in the AIASC – 2011. TUSHAR C. KAPUR and AMAN SAWHNEY discovered a new asteroid TOV6JPm in AIASC-2012 conducted
by SPACE.
Ms. Priya Sethi, our German teacher, got a scholarship from Goethe Institute, Max Mueller Bhavan to attend a Seminar - cum - Training
session for 17 days in Berlin, Germany. Seminar was attended by 22 German Teachers from different countries around the world and she
was the only one representing India.
We were declared THE BEST SCHOOL of the zone in sports.
Ms. Suchita Joon attented ISSE Conference in Cincinnati(USA), in July 2012.
Divya Dua of Class 12G won the Best Interactor Award for district 2010-Rotary Interact Club.
Ms. Aprajita Malhotra and Ms. Monika Arora were awarded by the Commerce Association on Teachers’ Day.

Video Conferences
In-house publications have been introduced in class-3 for
English (Exploration-3) and Maths. News Letter of the
Primary, ISA and Senior Department were introduced in the
session 2011-12. ‘My Book of Poems’ and ‘Chorister’ have
been introduced in the Primary Department
Smartclass usage in every class of the school from Mont. I.
Occupational Therapy sessions are held regularly for
students with special needs.
Primary math's lab has been set up to enable the students
of classes III to V to have a regular class in the maths lab.
Western Music and Elocution have been introduced in the
Primary Department.
Theatre classes have been arranged for the students during
the session for enhancement of hidden expression and
talent for the Montessori children and also students with
special needs.
VCs have been made a part of the curriculum for classes
9th and 10th..
Western Music Room has been set up for the students of
Primary Department. A piano has been provided to enable
the student to be well–acquainted with Western Music and
sing Hymns and songs confidently.
Students Entrepreneurship programme has been initiated.
