The Mission
• To create the Standards for the PLPA
– Crematories, Funeral Homes, Cemeteries
– To keep an open mind that we cannot dictate
business practices – but standards that will be a
part of who a PLPA member is
– How will these Standards be monitored?
– Is there a rating system for the different types of
PLPA members? “Rules of Engagement” for those
that agree to be members? How to handle
complaints against members?

The Mission
• Create a program that will give credentials to
individuals in the pet death care industry
• Course/curriculum creation
• Continuing Education requirements
• How/where the classes held – taking into account all
technology pieces available too!
• Educational components for the website and for
members
– White paper downloads
– Monthly (?) webinars on pet death care business practices
– Educational components for the consumer to turn to as they
choose a pet memorialization facility
