Full-time, long-term duration.
2
Six Training Approval Criteria
1) There is no suitable
employment available for
an adversely affected
worker
2) Worker would benefit
from appropriate training.
(Client would obtain skills to be
job ready upon training
completion.)
3
Six Training Approval Criteria

Six Training Approval Criteria

Training is reasonably available
to the worker from either
governmental or private
sources.

Available training is suitable

Within a client’s commuting
area is priority.
“Commuting area” =
expected travel to and from
training on a daily basis. In
MO, it is considered 50
miles or less one-way.
5

Verify training facility
/ program is approved

Six Approval Criteria

Career Center Trade staff must compare similar or like training

First priority must be given to public training facilities
rather than proprietary schools.
