DPS Board of Education – Tech Policies

 The proper use of technology systems is governed by Board of Education policies.

 The district is subject to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) which mandates how personally identifiable student records are to be handled.

 Board policies prohibit the sharing of passwords with anyone: colleagues, students.

 The Department of Technology Services (DoTS) rollout of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) solution includes a stand-alone Self-Service Password Management tool which provides convenient and confidential password reset functionalities for Denver Public Schools (DPS) employees, contractors, volunteers and mentors.
