Room 207 Mr. Walsh - LA 7
I dreamed I stood in a studio
And watched two sculptors there.
They clay they used was a young child’s mind
And they fashioned it with care
One was a teacher – the tools he used
Were books, music and art.
The other, a parent, worked with a guiding hand,
And a gentle, loving heart.
Day after day, the teacher toiled with touch
That was deft and sure.
While the parent labored by his side
And polished and smoothed it o’er.
And when at last their task was done
They were proud of what they had wrought,
For the things they had molded into the child
Could neither be sold nor bought.
And each agreed they would have failed
If each had worked alone,
For behind the teacher stood the school,
And behind the parent, the home.

Advisor Base 207
Mr. Walsh and Ms. Morahan
Your children’s Advisor Base time is an
opportunity to:
•
•
•
•
•
Organize their materials for the day
Clean/organize their lockers
Get answers to last-minute questions
Wake up before a busy day
Listen to the announcements,
learn about school activities and deadlines
QuickTime™ and a
TIFF (Uncompressed) decompressor
are needed to see this picture.
However, Advisor base is also an opportunity to schedule
school-wide initiatives while also providing valuable time for
pleasure reading!
SSR
(Sustained Silent Reading)
Students should bring their SSR book and
homework planner to AB every day. (If they
are reading a book for English, they may bring
materials for taking assigned reading notes).
AB begins at 7:45. Students are expected to
go directly to the office for a pass if they know
they will be late. The second unexcused
tardiness results in an email home, and any
additional unexcused tardies will result in a
detention with Mrs. Lambert.
