African Navies’ short-mid-long term needs can be met by
Africa’s own resources with an increasing rate.
• At Phase-1 (0 – 4 years)
• Use of the platforms to be provided by RMK Marine will reply immediate
needs
• Existing shipyards (if any) will be upgraded and maintenance & repair
capabilities will be gained in local
• At Phase-2 (4 – 10 years)
• Manufacturing and Construction work packages will be completed in blocklevel
• Gaining practice in outfitting of electronic systems and armaments
• At Phase-3 (10 years – beyond)
• Marine Engineering skills to be utilized
• Indigenous naval platform development effort to be initiated
