History of the university
1998.The University of Southern Denmark is formed in a merger between
 Odense University (established in 1966)
 Odense University Library
 Southern Denmark School of Business and Engineering
 University Centre of Southern Jutland
2004. Merger between the University of Southern Denmark and
 Department of Border Region Studies, Aabenraa (IFG)
2006. Merger between the University of Southern Denmark and
 Danish Centre of Rural Research and Development, Esbjerg (CFUL)
 Odense University College of Engineering, Odense (IOT)
2007. Merger between the University of Southern Denmark and
 National Institute of Public Health, Copenhagen (SIF)
