CNA Entrance Criteria
• 18 years of age or older
• Negative Drug Screen
• High school diploma/equivalency.
• Negative TB test
• Clear legal background check
• 8th grade reading levels on the Test of Adult
Basic Education (TABE).
Certified Medication Technician (CMT)
• After 6 months working as a CNA, enhance
skills and marketability
• 60 hours of classroom instruction
• 8 hours of “hands on” direct care training
Insulin Administration
Further enhance skills and marketability with
Insulin Administration
• 8 hours of classroom instruction
• “Hands on” direct care training
• Must be certified as a Medication Technician
or Level 1 Medication Aide
CMT and Insulin Admin Entrance Criteria
• Active listing on Missouri CNA registry
• Letter of recommendation from a Director of
Nursing or Facility Administrator
• Pass background check
• Negative drug screen
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray
• Passing score on TABE entrance exam
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
