IEEE 802.21 Emergency Services Study Group

• • • • The IEEE 802 LAN / MAN Standards Committee (LMSC) / Executive Committee has approved a study group in WG 802.21 to develop a Project Approval Request and Five Criteria (PAR and 5C) to support Emergency Services across all 802 technologies. Output of this effort will be either a working group (WG) under 802 (e.g. 802.23) or a task group (TG) probably under 802.21.

IEEE 802 (LMSC) development is generally limited to below OSI Layer 3 Development work will generally be complimentary to other SDOs (e.g. IETF ECRIT) Within those guidelines, what does the PAR/5C need to cover?
