Elite PC Assistant Overview
 What is the Elite PC Assistant?
 A software application providing easy access to IPK features
used by digital telephone users
 On-line directory for easy access to your most frequently dialed
numbers
 Retains a call log of all inbound, outbound, and even missed
calls…just like a cell phone!
 Unique GUI (Graphical User Interface) that “hides” on the edge of
the screen when it isn’t needed
 Basic version bundled with CTA and CTU adapters
 Professional version includes Outlook and ACT! Integration
(screen pop), call recording, and personal greeting features

Who will use the Assistant?
 Any NEC IPK customer who needs or wants…
 A call history to see which calls have been received, dialed, and
missed.
 Quick access to frequently dialed telephone numbers. Easy
access to IPK telephone features like transfer, conference, park,
etc.
 Call recording for order taking, or other customer verification
transactions. (Some states require that both parties know a call is
being recorded)
 Automated personal greeting to present a consistently vibrant
greeting to each caller.
 Screen pops from their customer relationship manager software
(Outlook and ACT! )

 Elite PC Assistant Application Software:

A software application that provides easy access to the most
common features required by multiline telephone users.
This application runs on a PC and provides IPK phone assist and
additional feature with the PC based GUI (Graphical User Interface) and
features.

User Interface Description
 User Interface docks at any edge of
the user’s display
 Access IPK digital telephone features
through icons in the Function Button area
 Unique UI will “hide” in the edge of the
display until it is needed
 Shows line status, caller names on hold,
recently dialed numbers, missed calls, etc.

What is it
 When a call comes into this station, Elite PC Assistant displays it on
the PC and provides several features, which allow the user to handle
the call quickly.
 Minimized to run in the background and pop to the front when call
activity occurs.
 Calls can then be handled using either the keyboard or the mouse.
 The user speaks to the caller through the telephone handset,
headset, or speakerphone.

Call Log

The Call Log provides access to the call activity history for the associated digital telephone.
This features shows all inbound, outbound, and missed calls that have occurred on the
phone….just like your cell phone!

Call log entries that have an associated recording are identified by the special “Recording”
icon that is located to the left of the call Type.

Call start time, date, duration, CLID, and any associated name are included in each call
record

Support for….
 Call Log- separate window is displayed with the call log information.
 Call Recording - ability to record the active call and save the
recording as a file on the PC. This file can then be played back within
the application or e-mailed as a WAV file to another user.
 Personal Greeting - setup to automatically play a personal
greeting to the caller on every incoming call. The greeting can be
heard by both the caller and user and is only played for external calls.

Call Log Transfer
 To send a call log record or recording using e-mail:
 Press the right mouse button to select the Call Log record
to be sent.
 From the pop up menu, select the E-Mail option.

new mail message using your default e-mail client, with the call
log detail included in the body of the message. If a recording is
associated with the call log record, then the sound file for the
recording will be attached to the message.

Personal Directory
 Online personal directory to assist the user with call
handling activity.
 Each employee in an organization can be entered into the
directory to provide the attendant with quick access to
contact information.
 All entries in the personal directory will have name and
designated phone numbers:

Branch Office, Branch Office, Business, Car Phone, Cell, Cellular,
Conference Room, Data, Fax, Home, Home Office, Lab, Mobile,
Pager, Remote Office, & Temporary Office.
