Introduction
• Substation secondary system is facing a complete
change because of the rapid technology evolution,
the difficulties of user to follow that evolution and
the new requirements coming from a changing
network.
• The Interchange of information and practices is
the key aspect to overcome that difficulties.

The Study Committee B5 intends to be a worldwide
platform for the elaboration and exchange of
knowledge and information in order to facilitate the
progress of engineering in the field of the power
system protection and automation.
To be a leading international reference for power

state-of-the-art

developing recommendations.
