The Beatles
The Beatles were the most famous pop
group of the 1960´s.

Their music was not only popular
in Britain, but all over the world.
Their city - Liverpool

The Beatles were an English rock band
formed in Liverpool in 1960.
They were working class boys from Liverpool.
They started playing in this club in Liverpool.
Their music

 They became the most commercially successful and
critically acclaimed act in the rock music era.
 Rooted in skiffle and 1950s
rock and roll, the Beatles later
utilized several genres,
ranging from pop ballads
to psychedelic rock.
Their career

 They gained popularity in the United Kingdom after
their first modest hit, "Love Me Do", in late 1962.
 Beatlemania grew in Britain over the following year, and
by early 1964 they had become international stars,
leading the "British invasion” of the United States pop
market.
Members
Members of the band were John Lennon, Ringo Starr,
George Harrison and Paul McCartney.

After their break-up in 1970, they each enjoyed
successful musical careers. Lennon was shot and killed
in December 1980, and Harrison died of lung cancer in
November 2001. McCartney and Starr remain musically
active.

John Lennon was an English
singer-songwriter.
Ringo Starr was famous as
the drummer, appearing in
numerous other films.

Paul McCartney sang and
played the bass guitar.
George Harrison had an
international fame as the
lead guitarist.

Beatles have been played till now, f.e. „Yesterday“, „Strawberry Fields
Forever“, „Lucy In the Sky with Diamonds“, „Michelle ma Belle“ and
many others.

