Operational Data Store (ODS)
• The ODS is a database that stores data in a
central location for reporting and allows for
integration of data from different systems.

Discoverer Plus Terminology
• End User Layer (EUL)
▫ The EUL provides authentication and connectivity between
Discoverer Plus and the ODS.
• Business Area (BA)
▫ BA’s are a collection of ODS data stored in views and they are
assigned to a specific EUL.
• Workbooks
▫ Workbooks are Discoverer Plus files that contain worksheets
displaying data retrieved from the ODS.
• Worksheet
▫ Worksheets contain the data that you want to analyze.
