BACKGROUND INFORMATION
• AGYCC is respected within Northampton, often referred to as
a ‘Flagship’ centre, it is independently managed by a
committee, and employs staff
• Doddridge Centre is another highly regarded centre in the
town. They are independent, leasing their premises from the
Doddridge Church, and employing staff.
• Our organisations compliment each other and both bring
different skills and experiences to the bid
• We decided to submit a joint bid to ensure the bid was as
strong as possible and also to reflect a wider community
experience. We are more likely to succeed working together
than against each other
WHAT ADDITIONAL VALUE DO WE BRING TO THE TABLE?
• The desire, and an impressive track record, in delivering the
best services possible to our local communities, in response
to their wants and needs
• The time to undertake community profiling and engagement,
currently unattainable to a local authority
• Ability to be more responsive to local need
• Attracting external funding to improve building stock and
support groups/activities
•
Many years of hands on management experience
• Partnership working through extensive network of contacts
