Berdine Hurley Bursary
A fund to provide financial assistance for deserving former Little Brothers,
Little Sisters or Mentees who are enrolling in a Canadian university,
community college or trades or training institution.
SELECTION CRITERIA
•Each recipient is to be a deserving Little Brother, Little Sister or Mentee formerly a member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ingersoll, Tilsonburg &
Area – for at least two (2) years.
•Each recipient is to be enrolled in a Canadian University, community
college or trades or training institution which grants degrees, diplomas or
certificates.
•Each recipient may receive a bursary for up to three (years) of study if
proof of successful completion is received by the selection committee.
Application forms are available through all Oxford County High School
Guidance Offices or the Agency.

Presented annually to a current or former Little Brother,
Little Sister or Mentee who possesses any or all
of the following qualities:
• best exemplifies a caring spirit
• has a genuine interest in other people
• is respected by his/her peers
• demonstrates helpfulness and concern for others
• provides encouragement to others
• performs acts of kindness without expecting recognition
• strives to be their personal best
• demonstrates drive and determination and a passion for life
• has shown personal growth
