SECTION 8.9
Requirement 8.9 contains requirements for all new and existing
equipment within the Scope of this Code.
8.9.1 Required Information
Data plate shall be provided and maintained that shall indicate the
Code to be used for inspections and tests (see 8.10.1.2). The data plate
shall indicate the Code and edition in effect at the time of installation.

2.7.9.2 Temperature and Humidity. Machinery
spaces, machine rooms, control spaces, and control
rooms shall be provided with natural or mechanical
means to keep the ambient air temperature and humidity
in the range specified by the elevator equipment
manufacturer to ensure safe and normal operation of
the elevator. The temperature and humidity range shall
be permanently posted in the machine room, control
room, control space, or where specified by the equipment
manufacturer, in the machinery
space.

2. Computer or typewriter printed labels are prohibited.
3. Typewritten or handwritten figures or lettering are not acceptable.
4. Writing the code information with a permanent marker onto a
controller cover or disconnecting means cover is not acceptable.”
