Process
• County Exec appoints SPG (Strategic Plan Group)
• SPG consults with clubs, various county
committees, players, schools etc – receives
feedback
• One day workshop to organise and prioritise
issues
• SPG draws up plan
• County Exec approves plan
• County Comm/clubs ratify plan
Inputs to Plan
Will include submissions

over the next five years:

• Plan will use headings that include:

Time Frame
• Feb 2006: County exec establish SPG
• Feb & March: SPG meet to draw up their plan
of action
• Mar 30th & Apr 4th: SPG meets with clubs to
explain what they are doing
• Apr 18th: Deadline for feedback from clubs
• May 2006: Workshop to identify main issues
• June 30th: SPG produce plan
• Nov: SPG monitor progress of plan

Aims of Tonight
• To outline the rationale of a Strategic Plan for
Antrim GAA
• To discuss expectations of the process
• To identify issues and areas for improvement
in Antrim GAA
• To complete questionnaires
• To distribute questionnaires for clubs and
sub committees

Examples of Issues
• Goverance -Communication between sub committees could
be improved
• Games Development -fixtures schedule needs to be
reviewed
• Facilities/Infrastructure -Clubs have shortened pitches
available for juveniles
• Inclusion and Cohesion -More women are directly involved
in GAA activities
• Culture and Heritage - Promotion of culture through Scor is
reviewed
• Anything Else -No official Antrim Supporters Club
