Georgia Incentives
•
A non-retail business may claim an income tax credit for the purchase of qualified EVSE
provided the EVSE is accessible to the public. The amount of the credit is 10% of the
cost of the charger, up to $2,500. (Georgia Code 48-7-40.16)
•
Georgia Power offers a Plug-in Electric Vehicle (PEV) time-of-use electricity rate for
residential customers who own an electric or plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. The PEV rate
is optional and does not require a separate meter.

Must be well marked to highlight the amenity
Plan on expansion – the most expensive part of most EVSE is not the
equipment, it’s the provisioning. Target 5% EV parking spaces within 5 years.
EV Power Usage
• Should be billed monthly as premium reserved parking slots
• $50 or $60 per month in addition to any other parking fees
• Consider a single sub-meter (~$750) for the entire installation to monitor usage
growth and adjust monthly rates as necessary
