Category of the National AIChE Undergraduate Poster Session
Ashty presented his research project:
“Characterization of Plasmid Burden and Copy Number in Saccharomyces cerevisiae
for Optimization of Metabolic Engineering Applications”

– A group of students who build a chemically powered
vehicle with the goal of stopping the car at an
accurate distance by controlling or limiting a
chemical reaction.

Ants
– beware they are hungry and if you threaten them, they will bite,
and that hurts. You’ll need some sort of cream to make that
pain go away. Keep food off the ground. That’s how we get
ANTS!!!
Frisbees
– ever been hit in the head with a frisbee? Yeah, it sucks. So if you
are playing frisbee, pay attention. If you are anywhere near ME
playing frisbee, hide, that’s the only way you’ll be safe.
Piñatas
– people swinging at a pinata are blindfolded and disoriented, so
they may mistake you for the piñata. Or they may have a terrible
grip and let the bat go flying. Which will eventually fall, on
someone.

• AIChE Men’s Soccer team has advanced to the
playoffs, first round is Sunday at 5 PM!
– Come out and cheer us to victory!
• AIChE Coed Basketball is 2-0! Last regular
season game is Thursday at 7 PM!
– (we have secured a spot in the playoffs as well)
