Bringing up DU in Conversation
Academics
Philanthropy
Status quo with other UTC Fraternities


Definition 1: A set of activities that
improves the number and quality of people
who apply for brotherhood and the
probability that qualified and compatible
applicants will accept brotherhood offers
Definition 2: the identification and
attraction activities by both the
organization and the applicant

Myth 1 – Fraternities should attract as many brotherhood
applicants as possible.
 Large applicant pools allow a higher quality of people to choose
from but costs are higher..costs could exceed value..a high
rejection rate could turn away possible future brothers.

Myth 2 – Fraternities should focus their recruitment on
people with the highest credentials.
 Stability and Fraternity culture can outweigh credentials

Myth 3 – Fraternities should appear as attractive as
possible during recruitment.
 Dissatisfaction, mistrust of leadership, and turnover can occur
as recruits discover that reality is less than what the company
advertised.

Nurturing the Brotherhood
 Allowing our brothers to enjoy their time in DU is
good.

Internal versus External Recruitment
 Recruitment Inside our brotherhood will help raise
moral and encourage new leadership

Choosing Our Recruitment Channels
 Finding the best way to match UTC’s personality

Diversity
 Will keep a stereotype off our back
