What are Children’s Centres
Working with under 5’s and their families to offer:
• integrated early education and childcare
• support for parents – including advice on parenting,
local childcare options and access to specialist services
for families
• child and family health services – ranging from health
screening, health visitor services to breast-feeding
support
• helping parents into work – with links to the local
Jobcentre Plus and training.
Hillingdon Children’s Centres
• Hillingdon has at present 12 operational
children’s centres
• 6 more are being built at the moment and due
for completion later this year
• Total of 18 children’s centres throughout the
London Borough of Hillingdon
