Student Requirements
Loan Requirements
 Federal Direct Loan requirements must
be completed to receive loan
disbursement.
 Perkins/University Loan requirements
must be completed to receive loan
disbursement.
 Parent borrowers must apply for the
Parent PLUS Loan online at
www.studentloans.gov and complete a
Master Promissory Note, upon loan
approval, to receive loan disbursement.
Disbursement of Aid
 Financial aid awards are disbursed in two
installments; half in fall and half in spring.
 Aid in “Accept” status (except Federal
Work Study, reported aid, and estimated
awards) is applied directly toward the
charges on your University Student
Account.
 We will begin crediting aid the week
before classes start in an effort to get
refunds directly deposited to students’
bank accounts by the first day of classes.

your name and UIN on scholarship
checks.
Employment Opportunities
 To view Fall 2011 job postings, check the
Virtual Job Board on the OSFA Web site!
 You must have a Federal Work Study
award on your Award Letter to apply for a
Federal Work Study job.
 Other on-campus and off-campus jobs
are available if you are not awarded
Federal Work Study.
 We have over 10,000 active student
employees and most jobs do not require
a Federal Work Study award.
Special Circumstances
A family’s financial situation may be
different from the tax year information
on the FAFSA.
