Admissions offers will be rescinded for applicants failing to meet
deadlines or admission criteria upon final review

Initial admission decisions based on CSU
minimums:
• 60 transferable semester units
• 2.0 GPA
• Completion of Oral Communication, Written
Communication, Critical Thinking, and
Quantitative Reasoning/Mathematics with “C”
or better by the end of spring 2013 term
Non-Local Admissions Area
Initial admission decisions based on CSU
eligibility on space available basis
Additional CSU impaction criteria will be
utilized including higher admission eligibility
criteria and potential wait list offers

Impacted Programs
Selection of major does not impact the
admission decision
Students are admitted in “pre-major”
status
Separate screening criteria within each major
are used to allow students to declare these
majors after students have been admitted
Five Impacted majors:
–Business Administration
–Communication
–Mass Media
–Kinesiology
–Nursing (supplementary application required)
AA/AS-T Application Process
CSUSM application process deadlines (ex: CSU
Mentor application by November 30th, transcripts
by February 1st , etc.)
Mail, fax or deliver a copy of the AA/AS-T evaluation
form to CSUSM by April 1st
Final official transcript /diploma showing
completion of AA/AS-T Degree must be received by
July 15th or admission offer may be rescinded for
non-local area applicants
AA/AS-T Degree Programs
Local admissions area admitted with minimum eligibility
requirements: 60 units, 4 basic subjects, 2.0 GPA
Non- local admissions area applicants will receive a .2
increase in cumulative GPA for the purpose of the evaluation

advising
Students will also be able to access their degree
progress 24/7 via their Academic Requirement
