Lecture Theatre User Guide – Using the
AV Pod, Projector and Screens
Only use the touch panel: do not use power switches
1. Session start
If the touch panel is blank, press firmly to
wake up.
Start up the Pod
To turn on the
pod, projector
and lower the
screen, select
system start.
Pod PC
Check the
PC is
turned on
and select
Resident
PC.
Connect a laptop or
tablet to the Pod
Connect your device with
the HDMI or VGA cables
and select the
appropriate option from
the screen (you may need
an adaptor).
When you choose an input from the home
screen, you are asked to choose whether you
would like this on left, right, or both screens
Projector
Turn the
projectors on
and off.
Visualiser
Place your
document/
object on the

2. Using the Room Lighting Control
1. Using the volume control
To adjust the lighting from the podium, select the lighting control
page from the button on the right hand side of the touch screen
To adjust the speaker volume, use the up and down volume control
buttons from the right hand side of the touch screen
Lighting
To control the
room lighting,
press the light
bulb on the
panel edge. The
lighting control
screen will
appear.
Volume
To control the speaker
volume, use the arrows on
the panel edge. The
volume level displays on
the home screen.
To activate the mic,
remove from base
station
The mic will mute
automatically until you
press the mute button
and then release. The
mic will flash green
every 1.5 seconds while
it is unmuted and in
operation
Red flashes means the
mic is paired but muted.

You can hold the mic or
wear it round your neck
using the lanyard.
Ensure the it is resting
with the mic end
upwards
Please ensure you
replace the mic in the
base unit after use

Visualiser and PowerPoint Remote

Place a document on the working surface. Select the
visualiser option from the home screen and turn on the
visualiser by lifting camera arm.
The remote is kept in a fabric case next to the PC in the rack. The
remote operates when using PowerPoint slides and does not
control the touch screen or podium in any other way
Please remember to
write only on paper
and not on the
visualiser surface
Zoom in and out
using the wheel
Move slides
forwards and
backwards
On/off button
Launch the
slideshow
Turn the light
on and off
Extern key – not
in operation
Freeze the
current image
Turn autofocus on
and off (please
leave this on). The
arrow beside the
key indicates if this
is on or off
Turn off the visualiser after use by lowering the camera arm

Laser pointer
Blank the screen
Turn off the remote after use with the button on the side.
Please put the remote back in it’s case and return to slot
beside the PC in the rack.
