Except many different shops and food chain-stores scattering in the area, there are 2 big shopping malls nearby, namely, the Shaw Plaza and Velocity. It takes 10 minutes walking to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, 15 minutes by bus (no.130 &131) to Bugis Street, National Library and City Hall, and about 20 minutes to Marina Bay.
