West Yorkshire Police Explorer Programme
• A voluntary programme for young people aged between
16-18 years old to get an insight into 21st century
policing
• A way of future/budding officers acquiring valuable
policing experiences
• To engage with young people representative of the
communities of the respective Divisions delivering the
programme
Who can Apply?
Applicants must:
•
Be aged between 16-18 years old when the programme starts
•
Live in West Yorkshire
•
Be able to commit to one evening per week throughout the cour
the programme.
•
Be enthusiastic about the Police Service and be interested in
working in the community
