Daring Greatly
SESSION 5
DELEGATE PROCESS TIME
SESSION 5 PROCESS TIME (Workbook page 32)
Brené Brown shared four leadership lessons:
• Growth through connection • We can’t give what we don’t have
• Professing v Practicing
• What kills love kills organisations
Which areas do you consider to be your strongest and
your weakest? Where do you think your team needs to
grow? Practice some vulnerability by talking about it.
SESSION 5 PROCESS TIME (Workbook page 33)
Brené Brown discussed the fundamental human
need of ‘belonging’ and encouraged building an
organisation where the rule is ‘be here, be loved’.
Is your ministry/church/organisation where you
want it to be? If not, what barriers do you think are
keeping it from being that way?

SESSION 6 PROCESS TIME (Workbook page 38)
Write down the key insight from the session that you can take away.
Is there something you need to stand up for? What distracts you from
the Kingdom work of leadership? Consider the 3 following questions:
1. Do you have room in your chariot for a David or Joseph?
2. Forced to choose, do you expand God’s kingdom
or your own reputation?
3. What difference is the Holy Spirit making in the way
you currently lead?

SESSION 7 | PATRICK LENCIONI
How to Lose Your
Best People
SESSION 7
DELEGATE PROCESS TIME
SESSION 7 PROCESS TIME (Workbook page 42)
Patrick Lencioni said that the first sign of a miserable
job was anonymity. Did you ever work at a job where
you felt anonymous? If so, describe it to your team.
The second sign of job misery Patrick Lencioni talked
about is irrelevance. In a sentence or two, describe
how your work matters to someone else.
SESSION 7 PROCESS TIME (Workbook page 43)
The third sign of a miserable job that Patrick Lencioni
talked about was immeasurement. He said that
employees need to be able to assess their progress
and level of contribution.
As a team, describe how performance is currently
assessed in your church or organisation.
