What is Sustainable Development?
The internationally accepted definition of sustainable development
was formulated in 1978 by the United Nations World Commission
on Environment and Development, also known as the Brundtland
Commission:

Sustainable Development is development that meets the needs
of the present without compromising the ability of future
generations to meet their own needs.

2008 as a symbol and reflection of Marafiq’s
