Noun Review:

Singular Nouns

One person, place, or thing- dog, boy, store
Plural Nouns (add an -s, -es, or -ies)

Singular Possessive



Possessive means the noun possesses or
owns something.
Singular possessive means one noun owns
something.
To show possession, we add an apostrophe
and an s.

Plural Possessive



Possessive means the noun possesses or
owns something.
Plural possessive means more than one
noun owns something. Add -s, -es, or -ies.
To show possession, we add an apostrophe
AFTER the s. We don’t add an s because
there is already an s there.
