Key Dates: Results
• KEFW candidates
– If you DID meet your offer, we will have a record,
well done!
– If you did NOT meet your offer, there will be a
letter with your results with further instructions
– If you will not be here on results day, you need to
inform Mrs Black in writing who will collect your
results. You need to be contactable in case there is
a problem, being abroad when you might need an
interview is a problem
Key Dates: Results
• Non KEFW candidates
– If you DID meet your offer, bring all of your
certificates into school on Friday 23rd Aug by
midday, including any exams taken in Years 9 &
10. You do not need to phone us on the 22nd.
– If you DID NOT meet some of the conditions of
your offer, please come in on Friday 23rd Aug
where we will discuss whether there is anything to
be done. You may have to wait a short time to see
someone.

• Non KEFW candidates
– If you decide not to take up your offer of a place at
Five Ways, please ring us on Thursday 22nd Aug
so that we are able to offer your place to other
applicants.
– If you are not going to be able to come in on
Friday 23rd Aug, please let Mrs Gouldbourn know
ASAP. Official grade sheets can be faxed from
your school, but we will not accept phone calls or
emails as proof of results.

What we expect of you:
• To aim for 100% attendance (our average is 98%).
• To bring in a note from your parents to explain any absence
from school.
• To be punctual for all commitments and to attend daily,
including registration at 8.35am, and all other scheduled
registrations.
• To attend at all scheduled assemblies and form time.
• To attend all your subject lessons. If you know in advance that
you will be absent (eg. Medical appointment, interview, open
days etc) you must inform your Form Tutor and subject
teachers, making arrangements to complete any work missed.
What we expect of you:
• To complete all preparation, including background reading,
and research prior to lessons.
• To meet deadlines and communicate effectively with subject
staff should conflicting deadlines arise.
• To use study periods constructively.
• To use the Chowen Centre appropriately ensuring it is left
clean and tidy.
• To consent to the school using your biometric information.
• To wear sensible, smart dress is compulsory and is outlined
overleaf.
Dress Code
• A Business suit is required for all members of the Sixth Form –
this should be black, dark grey or navy blue in colour and will
consist of tailored jacket with matching trousers or skirt.
• Smart shirt or blouse (spaghetti strapped/vest tops are not
permitted).
• Shoes should be equally appropriate (not flip-flops, trainers,
canvas or stilettos).
• Shorts, three quarter length trousers and denim are not
permitted.
• Facial piercings and body tattoos should not be visible.
Dress Code
• Girls’ make-up should be discreet.
• Hair must be neat, of a natural colour and not shaven.
• Jewellery may be worn as long as it is discreet and does not
compromise health and safety standards.
• Hoodies are not appropriate and are not to be worn in or out
of school.
• This is a mixed environment, with particular implications for
the way in which female students should dress. As such,
cleavage, midriffs and underwear should not be on show;
trousers and skirts should not be inappropriately tight; skirts
should not be worn higher than mid-thigh and tights should
not be flesh-coloured.
