I have a PhD in biochemistry and 13 years of experience in technology transfer and business development, but working in a group and realm of lawyers, I know that having the title of CLP brings a mark of credibility and recognition by my peers regarding my experience and ability in handling license agreements and the various other contracts used in technology transfer and business development. ..when I see CLP, I know that I'm speaking with somebody who has several years of experience in the business. This is important in our immediate perception of someone and certainly would be important in the case of recruiting a person for a position in business development or technology transfer.

The rigorous and comprehensive program prepares individuals to understand the business context of licensing and hit the ground running in any technology management or commercialization role…” Simran Trana, Intellectual Property Portfolio Development Leader at Dow AgroSciences 9
