Common “Mistakes” to Nip in the Bud • Small sample size • Missing number of plants observed • Non-random sampling – For monarch density (choice of plants) – For milkweed density (choice of transect and plots) • Inaccurate ID of eggs and larval instars • Careless observation of plants
