Verb: shows action or state of
being. Action words!!
Action: He was running through the
forest.
State of being: He was sad that
particular morning.

Pronoun: takes the place of a
noun
Guillermo was studying for the mid-term exam
when he realized that it was three o’clock in the
morning.
John, Jose, and Julie went to the store because
they needed to buy groceries.

Adjective: describes a noun

Preposition: A word or phrase that shows the relationship between
the noun that it takes as an object and some other word in the
sentence. They are words that build relationships between
other words and phrases in a sentence.

Gallery Walk
Now, we are going to do a gallery walk.
You will be in a group of 4, and you will be going to
8 stations.
You will have 7-8 minutes at each station. I will tell you
when to switch.
At each station, your group must read the directions
and complete each activity in your notebook.
After you have completed the activity, you may
check your answers in the folder next to each sheet!!
Remember, if you look at the answers before you finish the
