What is intelligence?
Intelligence is the result of a
process involving the evaluation,
analysis, integration and
interpretation of disparate pieces
of information, usually in
conjunction with existing
intelligence
What is immigration intelligence?
• Immigration intelligence is the term
now widely adopted to describe
intelligence product resulting from the
processing of immigration-related
information to warn of threats to
immigration borders and to support
risk mitigation strategies
What is immigration intelligence?
Best described as a process of the collection of
information
- about people, situations, incidents, knowledge
about the way people and organisations do things,
why they do them, and how they operate in a
certain set of circumstances –
Then it’s drawing together of the pieces of
information and knowledge to come up with a
coherent, predictive picture
– including any limitations on the completeness and
validity of that picture.
