Enterprise instant messaging
Presence
File transfer
Peer-to-peer and multiparty voice and video calling
Ad hoc and structured conferences (audio, video and web)
PSTN connectivity
Essentially, it’s a multimedia, software-centric, IP
PBX, only much more.
These features are available within an organization, between
organizations, and with external users on the public internet, or standard
phones, on the PSTN as well as SIP trunking.

Hence our term “Integrated Collaboration.” It’s
the new Unified Communications!
Particularly integrated end-user experience if in
a Microsoft-centric environment—Active
Directory, Exchange, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.
The promise of an amazing future: Softwarecentric solution could allow for all sorts of
middleware. Imagine integrated electronic
access, GIS, GPS, RCC, RFID, SIP/SIMPLE, and
more.
A PBX “superset”—certainly a seemingly viable
PBX replacement…
