First DLOC meeting held under the Chairmanship of worthy Deputy Commissioner Kurukshetra on
16.11.2012 . The Deputy Commissioner gave the instructions to all concerned departments regarding Red
Ribbon Express which is arriving in District Kurukshetra on dated 08.12.2012 to stay here on 08.12.2012

Pre Arrival activity done till date
 Liasoning with the Railway officials informing about the route of the RRE
 Civil Surgeon, Dy. Civil Surgeon along with Station Supdt. Mr. S.K. Gupta visited the
Railway Station and inspected the platform where the train will come.
 Identification of Platform for RRE site identified which is known as Mela Area
Platform at Kurukshetra junction.

• IEC activities regarding HIV /AIDS awareness and
RRE arrival till date.
• Meeting of SMO’s and MO’s I/c CHC/PHC held on
24.11.2012 for extensive. mobilization of Health staff
ASHA’s and community Members to visit RRE train.
• IEC activities regarding HIV /AIDS awareness and
RRE arrival through Nukkad Natak done from 27th to
29th Nov. 2012 by G.S. Channi and Group of
Chandigarh at KUK , NIT, SKIET, Umri, Kheri
Ramnagar, Khaspur, Mohan Nagar, Gandhi Nagar
and Fauji Colony.

 Ensure mobilization of trainees such as Panchayati Raj institution (PRI),
self help group, men in uniform, trade union etc. through concerned
departments.

 Ensure deployed of local police, GRP and RPF for ensuring safety and
security of visitors and property.
 Necessary directions to cable operators in their district for wide publicity
and arrange media workshop.

inaugural function and other RRE activities.

 Mobilization of maximum number of adolescents/Youths from 9th class
onwards be brought to the railway stations to visit RRE.
 To facilitate the transportation of the students to railway station and back.
 Rallies. Seminars/quiz competitions/poster competitions be conducted by
students on the theme of AIDS awareness.
 Depute 3 batches of 60 each teaching staff for training for attending the two
hours interactive session in the train.
 To ensure participants of school/college/polytechnic/IT in the cultural folk
performance on the platform through RRE.

 Ensure involvement of Red Ribbon Clubs in all degree colleges in the
respective district.

and to run in tandem with IEC buses of SACS.
Ensure provision of general health check –up at the platform and provide for IEC
material.

Ensure proper arrangement for lodging and food of IEC bus team-volunteers etc.
