Installation Process
• Pre-work
• Ensure that the Handheld device is fully charged before the installation
• Insert 2 GB Memory Card in Handheld Device
• Ensure no other device is attached to the computer during installation
process
• Remote Access
• Call up DMS help desk / Branch IT coordinator and initiate the process
to provide control of your system (computer) thru remote access
• Installing Drivers for the hand held devices
• Once the remote access is active, Insert CD provided with hand held
device by the manufacturer
• DMS help desk will then load the appropriate drivers of the hand held
device in the computer

• Connecting the handheld device to the computer
• Turn on the hand held device
• Connect the Handheld device to computer via USB cord
• Once connected drag the USB logo showed on your hand held device (A )
in downward direction
• Click on the box “USB Connected” – (B)

– After completing the steps in the earlier slide click on the button “Turn
on USB Storage” & then on “OK” as showed in the image below

– The following screen will automatically open on your computer
– The help desk will now create two folders & copy the application file
thru remote access in the handheld device drive
– Help desk will also copy DMS sync tool on the computer’s desk top

– To install the DMS lite application USB port needs to be turned off,
please follow the steps as given in the images below for the same

– Installation would then start automatically as showed in image -2
– In less than minute the installation would be completed - Image 3

Drag the screen to left
On the next screen of your device
you can see the DMS lite1.0 icon,
this indicates that your installation
process is competed

Click on each of the following buttons and select Salesman– Mode Route than click on “OK”

Click on Order Booking button to enter orders in the device

- Click on Create button to open the route /store list
- Stores who have not purchased in last 30 days will be market with * sign as
showed in the image below
- Select the store for whom the order needs to be booked ( eg Prince Dabas Store )

This screen will show all the details which are available in new palm version
- Click on the “Continue” button to move to next screen

- Once the store is selected the screen showed in Image 1 will appear
- The provision is made in the device to track SKU wise availability which may be
. . required in the future
- This is optional and SSMs can skip this step by simply clicking on OK button
- Image -2 would appear
- This screen will show all the brands which are not purchased by the store in last 30
days
- Click on the “Continue” button to move to next screen

- In this screen the salesman can key in the order quantities
- SKUs not purchased in last 30 days would be marked with * sign
- Provision is made to display MSL ( Minimum stock level ) this feature would be
useful in the future
- MRP of each sku would be displayed

- Select the SKU to be booked as showed below in Image 1 ( eg CDC 200)
- Stock available at stock point in pcs as on date will pop up for information
- Click on the Box to enter sale qtys

- On clicking on the box as showed in earlier slide the key pad will open
- Enter order qtys in pcs by using this key pad
- To confirm click on “Add” and to edit click on X
- To delete click on X & then click on “Cancel”

- The order booked will then appear as showed in the image below
- Click on the next SKUs to enter the order
- After entering all the required SKUs click on “Save” button to save the order

- After saving the order the following screen would appear
- In this screen you can view the total value of the order booked by the retailer as
well as the total order booked for the day
- This screen will also show the productivity achieved by the SSMs for the day
- To enter order for next retailer click on the button “New”

- Click on the “Create” button and repeat all the earlier steps to book orders

- The retailers whose order is booked will be marked with # sign as showed in
the image below

- If any retailer whose order is already booked is selected again the following
message would pop up
- Click on OK to return to retailer selection Screen

- If the qtys entered is higher than available stock the pop up as showed in
image below would appear to alert the salesman
- Salesman can click on ok to continue with the order booking process
- Qtys entered by the salesmen would still be considered in the order

• After SSMs return to stock point click on “Reset” button
• The as showed in Image II will appear, click on “Yes” to
