Thermoluminescence Study of Japanese Antarctic Ordinary Chondrites Kiyotaka Ninagawa Department of Applied Physics, Okayama University of Science, 1-1, Ridai-cho, Okayama 700-0005, Japan I have measured the thermoluminescence (TL) of 82 Yamato and 129 Asuka type 3 ordinary chondrites in the Japanese Antarctic meteorite collection. TL data are useful for determination of petrologic subtype and pairing. 1. Asuka Sampling sites 2. Thermoluminescence 3. Subtype 4. Pairing 1. Subtype I have found 15 primitive ordinary chondrites under subtype 3.2 in the Japanese Antarctic meteorite collection. 2. Pairing I have found 22 paired fragments in Asuka type 3 chondrites. Natural TL levels in meteorites as a function of terrestrial age, for a variety of storage temperature. F. Hasan et al.
