Fiber Glass V/S Wooden
Boats & Steel
• Fiber Glass Reinforced Plastic is Material that
•
•
•
•
does not corrode like Steel.
It has no effect of Wood Borer or Termite;
Wood has to be protected from both.
Steel & Wooden boats need annual
maintenance to keep them going.
Fiberglass Boats need only cleaning of bottom
once in three months and before storage.
Fiber Glass boats are lighter and can be
stored at higher Safe levels for Rainy season
or rough weathers.
11
Fiber Glass Boats
• The heavy weather and high gutsy winds can
damage wooden Boats in Waters as they are not so
easy to take to higher safe levels
• The Fiberglass Boats are Stronger than wood or steel.
•
•
•
The Strength to weight ratio of Fiberglass reinforced
plastic is higher than even steel.
It has very high impact resistance, the material is
used for FRP Helmets to protect heads of soldiers
and build armor plates for protection against enemy
fire.
FRP as its generally known is used for aircraft
components and high speed racing boats & cars due to
its high strength with low weights.
The FRP Boats are build from expensive Moulds that
ensures that each boat has the same shape to ensure
consistent quality and performance.
12
Fiber Glass Boats
ECO FRIENDLY
• FRP Boats are built under controlled conditions
under expert supervision to ensure consistent
quality. Availability of good wood consistently is
a major problem.
• Wood is a scares commodity on earth its
heavy use by humans has set up a dangerous
trend of depletion of forests and thus set an
ecological disturbance. Saving of forests is the
joint responsibility of every Human Being
on this Planet to maintain its ecological
balance.
• ..
13
Fiber Glass Boats
ECO FRIENDLY
• The color on the FRP Boat is built in the
•
•
material; the boat does not need painting like a
wooden boat.
The FRP Boats can be produced faster to
reach the user giving them advantage of early
use
The lighter weight of FRP Boat gives higher
speeds from the same power engine and
hence consumes less fuel for the distance
traveled. Economy of operation
