“Dryarn® is a polypropylene microfiber that even guarantees
high levels of performance under extreme usage conditions.
Polypropylene’s molecular structure consists of carbon and
hydrogen: two substances that are highly resistant to aggressive
agents (acids, bases, and solvents). Since the fibers cannot be
chemically attacked, they retain their integrity during washing, thus
preventing color loss, shrinkage, and pilling.
All polypropylene fibers are bacteriostatic, and therefore inhibit the
conditions necessary for the growth of harmful micro-organisms;
they are also hypoallergenic, thus rendering them entirely harmless
for even the most sensitive skin types.
Polypropylene also has a specific gravity of 0.9 (even lighter than
water), and boasts a lower absorption capacity than any other
known fiber. Therefore, instead of absorbing sweat, this feature
allows polypropylene to simply transfer it to the upper layers of
clothing, thus leaving the body dry.
Its thermal insulating capacity renders it much warmer than wool,
as it retains 30% more heat than any other known fiber.”

Dryarn®, qualche informazione aggiuntiva
Dryarn® è una microfibra in polipropilene che garantisce elevati
livelli di performance anche in contesti di utilizzo estremi. La
struttura molecolare del polipropilene è composta da carbonio ed
idrogeno, due sostanze con elevata resistenza agli agenti aggressivi
(acidi, basici, solventi). Questo fa sì che le fibre, non potendo essere
chimicamente attaccate, mantengano la loro integrità durante i
lavaggi, evitando così perdite di colore, restringimenti e pilling.
Tutte le fibre di polipropilene sono batteriostatiche e perciò
inibiscono le condizioni per la crescita di microrganismi nocivi; sono
anche ipoallergeniche e quindi non dannose anche per le pelli più
sensibili.
Il polipropilene inoltre ha un peso specifico di 0,9 (quindi più leggero
dell’acqua) abbinato ad una capacità di assorbimento inferiore a tutte
le altre fibre conosciute. Questa caratteristica rende il polipropilene
capace di non assorbire il sudore ma solo di inviarlo agli strati
superiori di abbigliamento lasciando il corpo asciutto.
Grazie alla sua capacità termoisolante trattiene il 30% di calore in
più rispetto alle altre fibre conosciute e, allo stesso tempo, è molto
più caldo della lana.
