NEW TONY KART CHASSIS 2017
We are pleased to present Racer 401S and Krypton 801S
The constant and relentless synergy between the OTK Groupʼs
Research and Development Department and the Tony Kart Racing
Team allows to give birth and develop new projects. In fact, Tony
Kart has made the technological research one of its main key
points, therefore it conceives, designs and manufacture products
with higher quality and performance.
RACER 401S AND KRYPTON 401S
Both of our top range chassis have been further developed and
optimized thanks to the new equipment adopted in the production line.
The frames of both models have been ameliorated in the steering
column support connection and in the front bumper connection.
OK models of 2017 will have a modified centre flange, forged with a new
design to better accommodate the exhausts of OK and OKJ engines.
The other components which our technical department have focused the
attention on concern the throttle cable adjustment and the sprocketʼs
hub (with two screws).
OTKʼs goal is to offer new products, with steadily increasing mechanical
and technical performance, and among the most interesting news there
is an advanced floor plate, whose thickness is 1.5 mm, and which chain
guard support, is one-piece and made of a new lighter material.
The overall upgrade on the components and the spare parts mentioned
above has also allowed to treat what is not easily visible, but of great
substance, the weight. Today the RACER 401S and the KRYPTON
801S are lighter than their predecessors, so drivers can handle with the
weight distribution even better.
The continuous evolution of each component could not but affect the
braking system too, now equipped with a BSD caliper, forged in onepiece and able to guarantee greater rigidity, strength and performance
stability.
KZ. The models reserved to the shifter categories are distinguished by a
frame particularly designed to better suit the technical specifications of
the powerful KZ engines. The frames of this category have now the seat
support connections modified, to allow a better housing.
Among the most exciting and significant changes affecting the RACER
401S and KRYPTON 801S models reserved to KZ category, there is the
clutch lever, totally new. Designed and manufacture to keep up with the
steering wheel angle, optimizing its use in the demanding phases of the
start. This was made possible thanks to an enhancement which allows
you to adapt the clutch to different wheel hubs types. The new clutch
thus allows to also use the hub of the inclined wheel, thus increasing the
number of the driverʼs driving position adjustments.
MINI. NEOS shows to have substantial changes, it is like a new model.
The geometry of the frame is totally renovated and differ noticeably from
the Rookieʼs.
A key factor that makes the NEOS a very different model from its
predecessors regards the many manufacturing process, as well as the
design philosophy totally inspired by Tony Kart productionʼs top-model,
the Racer 401S. So, this model is equipped with new brake hoses, highgrip steering wheel, new silencer connection, multi-hole bearings and
throttle adjustment.
A separate chapter deserves NEOS braking system, called BSM2,
equipped with a special brake pump, as a result of a new project.
Thatʼs not all. This mini kart is equipped with new stub axles and new
wheel hubs. In addition, the NEOS is equipped with aluminium AXJ
wheels (110.145), featured by a new design developed by our R&D
department.
The new chassis will be available from January 2017.

Vi presentiamo il Racer 401S e Krypton 801S
Il costante ed inarrestabile lavoro di sinergia tra il reparto di
Ricerca e Sviluppo del Gruppo OTK ed il Tony Kart Racing Team
permette di far nascere ed ottimizzare nuovi progetti. In effetti,
Tony Kart ha fatto della ricerca tecnologica uno dei punti cardine
della sua strategia, e proprio per questo, si impegna ad ideare,
progettare e realizzare prodotti caratterizzati da qualità e
performance superiori.
RACER 401S E KRYPTON 801S
Entrambi i nostri modelli di punta sono stati ulteriormente evoluti con un
lavoro di perfezionamento che deriva dallʼadozione di nuovi macchinari
impiegati nella linea produzione. Le scocche di entrambi i modelli
presentano delle evoluzioni negli attacchi del supporto piantone e
nellʼattacco del paraurti anteriore.
I modelli OK del 2017 sono dotati di una modifica alla flangia centrale,
forgiata secondo un nuovo disegno per accogliere al meglio la marmitta
dei motori OK e OKJ. Le altre componenti in cui si sono concentrate le
attenzioni del nostro reparto tecnico riguardano il registro del cavo
dellʼacceleratore ed il mozzo portacorona (dotato di due viti).
Proporre nuovi prodotti, dalle prestazioni tecniche meccaniche sempre
migliori, è il goal perseguito da OTK che tra le novità di sicuro interesse
propone un pianale evoluto, il cui spessore è 1,5 mm, e il supporto
paracatena, monopezzo e realizzato in un nuovo materiale, più leggero.
Lʼupgrade complessivo sulle componenti e gli elementi costruttivi sopra
citati, ha permesso di sposare sempre meglio un fattore non facilmente
visibile, ma di grande sostanza, il peso. Oggi i RACER 401S e i
KRYPTON 801S sono più leggeri dei loro predecessori e i piloti hanno
lʼindubbio vantaggio di poter gestire ancora meglio la distribuzione dei
pesi.
Lʼevoluzione continua di ogni componente non poteva non riguardare il
sistema frenante, ora dotato di pinza BSD, forgiata in un solo pezzo e
capace di garantire maggior rigidità, resistenza e stabilità di rendimento.
KZ. I modelli destinati alle categorie con il cambio si distinguono per un
disegno della scocca che meglio si adatta alle specifiche dei motori KZ.
Nelle scocche per questa categoria gli attacchi del supporto sedile sono
stati modificati per un permettere un suo miglior alloggiamento.
Tra le novità più stimolanti e significative che interessano i modelli
RACER 401S e KRYPTON 801S destinati alla KZ, vi è la leva della
frizione, totalmente nuova. Questa è stata progettata e realizzata per
seguire sempre lʼinclinazione del volante, ottimizzando lʼutilizzo nelle
impegnative fasi di start. Questo risultato è stato conseguito grazie ad
un progetto che permette di avvitare la leva a diversi tipi di mozzi
volante. La nuova leva frizione dunque permette di utilizzare anche il
mozzo del volante inclinato, incrementando le possibilità di
ottimizzazione della posizione di guida per il pilota.
MINI. Il NEOS si presenta con modifiche sostanziali, si tratta di un vero
e proprio nuovo modello. Le geometrie della scocca sono totalmente
rinnovate e si discostano sostanzialmente da quelle del Rookie.
Un punto di forza che rende il NEOS un modello decisamente diverso
dai suoi predecessori riguarda le tipologie di lavorazioni e la filosofia
progettuale totalmente ispirata dal modello top della produzione Tony
Kart, il Racer 401S. Così questo modello è dotato di nuovi tubi freno,

volante high grip, nuovo attacco per la marmitta, boccole multiforo e
registro acceleratore.
Un capitolo a parte lo merita lʼimpianto frenante del NEOS, il BSM2,
dotato di una pompa freno frutto di un nuovo progetto.
Le novità non si fermano qui nel NEOS. Questo mini kart è dotato di
nuovi fuselli e nuovi mozzi ruota. Oltre a ciò il NEOS è equipaggiato con
cerchi in alluminio AXJ (110.145), caratterizzati da un design nuovo
studiato dal nostro reparto di R&S.
I nuovi telai saranno disponibili a partire da gennaio 2017.
