Communication settings between Mitsubishi_Q_Link_Module and PanelMaster HMI

Preface
This tech note introduces how to connect Mitsubishi_Q_Series Communication Module “QJ71C24N-R2”
or “QJ71C24N-R4” with PanelMaster HMI.

Mitsubishi Q PLC
1) PLC Communication Module Setting:
The Mitsubishi Q PLC must be properly configured for the communication module using the
Mitsubishi GX Developer software version 7 or higher.
(a) Install the ethernet module (QJ71E71-100) at the first slot of Q-Series PLC.
(b) Execute the “GX Developer” program tool, double click the “PLC parameter” option to see

the screen shown below.
(c) Select the “Type” to “Intelli.” option under I/O assignment.

2) HMI Setting:
Select 【Direct Link (COM) 】&【Device/Server：Mitsubishi Electric Corp.→ Melsec-Q/QnA (Link Port) 】
Set the linking parameter same like PLC communication setting.

When you create any “Bit Object”, you can press the “?” to know its device range and setting
format.
