Requirements for Teachers
• Title 5 and Academic Senate
• Disciplines requiring a master’s degree (e.g. academic
areas: English, math, business, ESL, counseling)
• Disciplines requiring a specific bachelor’s or associate
degree (e.g. biotechnology)
• Disciplines where a master’s degree is not generally
expected or available – BA and 2 years experience
(Career Technical Education (CTE) – (e.g. agriculture
production, architecture, automotive, computer
information services, culinary arts, legal assisting,
manufacturing technology, pharmacy technology,
welding)
