Biography
• Dr. Mona is graduated in Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine,
Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt (1983). Specialist in the
Microbiology Unit, Clinical Pathology Department, Ain Shams
University, Cairo, Egypt (1986). Received a MD degree in
Clinical and Chemical Pathology from the University of Ain
Shams (1999), Cairo, Egypt (1999). She was a postdoctoral
fellow at the Microbiology Unit, Clinical Pathology
Department, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt (2000).
• She is an Assistant Consultant in the Microbiology Unit,
Clinical Pathology Department, Ain Shams University, Cairo,
Egypt (2005).

• Mona research interest include diagnosis of air and water
born diseases caused by viral and bacterial agents by
molecular techniques as qualitative polymerase chain
reaction, enzyme linked immunosorbent assay and
tissue culture.
