Transcript Pressure Canner Testing Flyer

Planning on Canning?
Are you planning on pressure canning low-acid foods such
as corn or green beans this summer? An inaccurate dial
gauge can cause home-canned foods to be unsafe. If you’re
using a dial-gauge pressure canner, you should have it checked
for accuracy each year before use.
Kimberly Jenkins, Wilkes County Family and Consumer Sciences Extension Agent,
will be testing pressure canner lids with dial gauges for safety at the Wilkes
County Extension Office located at the Courthouse (Room 109) on Thursday
June 16th and Thursday June 23rd from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and
from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
FREE AND NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY
