2 Starting point and main message of my remarks
Starting point:
 Report of the High-Level Panel (HLP) of Eminent
Persons: "A new global partnership" of 30 May 2013
Main message of the following remarks:
 In the framework of the post-2015 development
agenda outlined in the HLP report, enhancing PCD
becomes easier and more complicated alike, and this
at the political, conceptual, analytical and monitoring
levels. For the OECD and its members the importance
of PCD will increase.

3 Four points of the HLP report that are particularly
relevant from a PCD perspective
 The post-2015 agenda needs to be a universal
agenda.
 The post-2015 agenda needs to be a single sustainable development agenda.
 The post-2015 agenda needs to be specific.
 The post-2015 agenda requires an independent and
rigorous monitoring system based on a data revolution.
