Highly expressed X-linked genes are more uniformly down-regulated in both MSL2-depleted
S2 cells and roX1- roX2- males . Changes in expression of X-linked genes in response to loss of
both roX genes (X axis; this study) were plotted against changes in S2 cells in response to MSL2
depletion (Y axis; Hamada et al., 2005). Values are present as log2(treatment/control). (A) 105 Xlinked genes with low expression level (signal < 50). (B) 789 X-linked genes with intermediate
expression level (50  signal < 500). (C) 207 X-linked genes with high expression level (500 
signal). Only X-linked genes present on all 12 arrays contributed to this analysis.
